Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said that the speed of the government’s trains will be increased to 600 kilometers per hour in the coming years. For this, he is in talks with global technology companies like Apple. He also said that the Policy Commission has approved the proposal of Rs 18,000 crore for speeding the speed of express trains on two busy routes, Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata routes.
Speed will exceed 200 kilometers per hour
In a program of Assocham, he said that with the approval, the speed of the expressway will increase by more than 200 km per hour.
He said, you can imagine yourself how much it will save in travel time. Sharing the future plan, Prabhu said that the government had called big technology companies to work in the direction of doing trains more than 600 km per hour six-eight months ago. He also said that we are already talking to companies like Apple.
Railway safety will also be maintained
Technology will not be imported in the country but it will be developed here. Safety for this is also a matter of critical concern and Indian Railways is planning to use such compartments which can detect the breakdown in the rail through ultrasonic technology. So that security can be taken care of.
